Beloit Hydrant Flushing Begins Today
The City of Beloit will begin hydrant flushing today and will run until November 30. The hydrant flushing program will take place during the hours of 7:30 AM to 3 PM. This program ensures that fire hydrants are in good working order and flushes anything unnecessary out of their waterway. The city is asking people to reduce water use and consumption during this time, and to wait until after 3 PM to do laundry. Each area will be visited twice, with dead ends flushed first and maintenance flushes the second time. Near Liberty and White Avenues will be the first locations. There will be weekly updates on Facebook, and the city advises that the tap water is safe to drink.
