Beloit City Council Discusses Sale of Compost Bins for Earth Day

Updated: Mar 23

Last night at the Beloit City Council meeting, the board approved a resolution that would allow the city to sell compost bins for $55, including tax, in celebration of Earth Day. Pre-paid compost bins can be picked up in the lower parking lot at Big Hill Center in Big Hill Park on April 30 or May 14. Each 55-gallon bin is made of 100% North American recycled materials. Bins can be purchased by completing an order form and sending it via mail to the Department of Public Works. Money from the bins will go directly to the city. See the document below for the order form. To watch the full Beloit City Council meeting, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lEPcjAO2Qw.
