Beloit City Council Approves Application of 2022 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant

Last night at the Beloit City Council meeting, they approved an application for the 2022 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG). The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is the primary grantee, with the Beloit and Janesville Police Department being sub-grantees. The Beloit Police Department will use the 2022 JAG Grant funds for overtime and fringe benefits to investigate firearm and violent criminal activity within the Beloit community.
