According to an update from the City of Janesville, during the week of September 12 certain locations throughout the city may see temporary water service interruptions while work is being completed for the replacement of public side lead water services. Contractors will notify affected customers with a door hanger 24 hours prior to work being started. Water shutoffs are estimated to be less than four hours in length. The following locations are expected to be affected:
South Fremont Street from St. Lawrence Avenue to Oakland Avenue
South Blackhawk Street from Sycamore Street to Clark Street
East Racine Street from South Ringold Street to South Fremont Street
Clark Street from South Blackhawk Street to South Fremont Street
These areas will be open to local traffic only during the construction process and will resume normal traffic upon completion of service replacements on the day of operations. For questions, contact the Janesville Water Utility at (608) 755-3115.
