At last night’s Lake Geneva City Council Meeting, a presentation on the 2020 audit was given. Auditor Shannon Small presented that she has a clean and unmodified opinion on the City of Lake Geneva, which is the highest level of assurance auditors can provide that financial statements are free of material misstatement. She also discussed some of the highlights from the financial statement, which detail that 54% of revenues come from taxes and 33% come from charges for services. About 1/3 of the revenue goes to public safety, and a significant amount also goes to the general government.
