Whitewater Unified School District Discusses ESSER Funds

During Monday night’s Whitewater Unified School District Board Meeting, the board discussed the three segments of the ESSER Funds that were acquired as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. ESSER 1 expires in September 2022, with $252,248 being used for student electronic devices and supplies to help combat the COVID-19 Pandemic. ESSER 2 expires in September 2023, with $920,882 being used for cleaning, devices and educational resources for students, as well as additional staffing. ESSER 3 expires in September 2024, and utilizes approximately $2 million to be used for maintenance improvements and school’s class and extracurricular programming.
