According to a press release, the Whitewater Police Department received its 7th WILEAG accreditation. This comes following a June 2021 assessment. The board unanimously approved a three year accreditation for WPD after conducting a review that included feedback from Whitewater residents.
“This most recent re-accreditation, combined with the actions and interactions we are engaged in today will further define the character and reputation of our Department and the effect that we have on reducing crime and disorder in our community for years to come,” Chief Aaron Raap said in the media release. “I am very proud of the men and women of the Whitewater Police Department and grateful for being able to serve such an incredible community.”
