Whitewater Fire Department Continues Process Towards Becoming a City Department

According to a press release from the City of Whitewater, the Whitewater Fire Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Whitewater to continue the process of becoming a city department. An outside consultant is working with the fire department and the city to help put a plan together for a smooth transition. All groups are anticipating a mid-summer date for a complete merger between the city and the fire department.
