Walworth Sheriff Receives New Use of Force Accreditation

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office has received new accreditation in regards to use of force. In a press release from Thursday night, the department says the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group has given the credentials to the Sheriff’s Office for grant money over the next three years, due to the department’s use of force policy being in compliance with regulations. Only law enforcement agencies in compliance are eligible for grants beginning this year. In 2017 WILEAG gave accreditation to the WCSO, and just a few weeks ago the department was re-accredited. WCSO joins Whitewater PD who also made the same announcement this week.
