Watertown Police Launch New Community Initiative

Watertown Police are keeping the community informed on a way to better serve more vulnerable residents with a new safety initiative. The Premise Alert System, or PAS, allows first responders to be notified of any potential special needs a child or adult at a residence or location may have. The PAS give Watertown residents the ability to voluntarily notify police and other first responders of special circumstances. This can be done by filling out a waiver. WTPD says this will lead to more accurate and effective responses to certain situations. More information on this system can be found on the department’s FB page.
