Watertown Mayor Emily McFarland Provides Main St. Bridge Update

At the Monday evening Watertown Common Council meeting, Mayor Emily McFarland discussed further progress being made towards the Main St. bridge sidewalk repair. Last month the City was offered a repair that would cost about $110 thousand, but still would not open the sidewalk. Last week, the engineering division met with Jefferson County and the bridge’s inspection company and discussed other alternatives for the project. They are expected to follow up again soon with additional repair options. The Wisconsin DOT recently notified the city that the environmental document may be signed as early as May 1.
