Watertown City Council Approves Purchases

At last night’s Watertown City Council meeting, it was discussed that there is a need for additional contracted storm sewer construction in the 2021 Annual Street and Utility Project area. As such, the contract was increased by over $75 thousand and brought the revised contract to about $1.5 million. This additional funding goes towards the storm water utility capital outlay account. Additionally, the council also approved the purchase of a sound meter/datalogger with The National Institute of Standards and Technology and a Certificate of Calibration. This purchase will be used to help reduce the time spent collecting data related to the city's noise standards. Due to this purchase, the 2021 budget for the Building, Safety, and Zoning Department account was increased by about $1.5 thousand.
