The Walworth County Health Department is clarifying information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. The department is reporting that the vaccine is not currently available to the public, and they remain in Vaccine Phase 1a. This means only frontline health personnel and staff and residents of long term healthcare facilities are eligible as of January 8th. The vaccine phases and allocation are determined by the state and not the county and vaccinators are not allowed to vaccinate outside the current phase.
