UW-Whitewater Students Win National Championship
A group of UW-Whitewater students have won a national championship, but not in sports. A group of business students won a recent business competition. According to WKOW, the competition encouraged students to take on business principles that they have learned and apply them to the real world. The team at Whitewater focused on preventing blindness by setting up a self-sustaining program in India that will train young women to become vision screeners. The team now moves on to the international contest that will occur in October, where they will compete against more than 30 countries.
