UW-Whitewater Grad Killed In Milwaukee Shooting
A Fraternity president at UW-Whitewater was tragically killed in a Milwaukee shooting over the weekend. FOX6 reports that 22-year old Purcell Pearson was killed when he was shot near 23rd and Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon. Surveillance video of the incident captured Pearson hanging on to the side of a van as it drove the wrong way down the street, around 12:30 Saturday afternoon. A person from inside the vehicle fired shots, and killed Pearson. He was the president of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at UW-Whitewater, and graduated from the school in May 2020. He was also the UW-Whitewater Homecoming King in 2019. No other information about the shooter was made available.
