Update in Class B Alcohol Licenses in Town of Milton

The Town of Milton has made an amendment to an ordinance. Currently, a local statute limits the number of retail “Class B” alcohol licenses that a municipality may issue. In light of this quota, the Town of Milton wishes to grant and issue “Class B” alcohol licenses to those businesses who have demonstrated the continuance of satisfactory business in the community. Those who do not meet the terms of satisfactory businesses include those that have not been open or conducting business for at least 60 consecutive days in any 180 day period, the licensee has voluntarily vacated the premises more than 10 days before the hearing held under this ordinance, or the licensee was ordered by a court or competent jurisdiction to vacate the premises at least 10 days before the hearing held under this ordinance.
