Two Women Injured in Head on Crash on Highway 14

Two women were injured in a head on crash on Highway 14 in Harmony Friday night according to a Rock County Sheriff’s news release. Deputies along with janesville police, fire and EMS were dispatched to Hwy 14 and Old Humes road on a report of a head on crash. An eastbound Chevy driven by a Clinton woman crossed the centerline on the curve and struck a vehicle driven by a Rockford woman head on. Both women were transported to area hospitals with severe injuries. Traffic was rerouted for more than two hours while the crash was being investigated with the Crash reconstruction teams assisting in the ongoing investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash and no citations have been issued.
