According to a press release from Rock County Sheriff Troy Knutson, he will not seek re-election in 2023 for the Office of Sheriff. He has worked for the Rock County Sheriff’s Office for the past 33 years, and has served as the Sheriff since 2019. Knutson noted that he made his intention for retirement early in the 2023 election process to ensure that the community has sufficient time to thoroughly evaluate potential successors for the Office.
