Town of Beloit Receives Grant from Governor Tony Evers

According to a press release from the Town of Beloit, yesterday Governor Tony Evers announced that the town will receive a $7,675,000 State grant to replace Fire Station #2 at 1143 E. Inman Parkway. Town Administrator Tim Wellnitz stated that the replacement of Fire Station #2 will enhance Fire and EMS services for Town of Beloit citizens and the greater Beloit area. Fire station #2 was originally built in 1974 and was designed for a single engine response with two volunteer personnel. Now, volunteers have been replaced for full time personnel. Currently, all personnel respond from Fire Station #1. Fire Station #1 and #2 will both be staffed when Fire Station #2 is replaced.
