Third Suspect In Beloit Homicide Surrenders, Victim Identified.
A third person wanted in connection to a homicide in Beloit has turned themselves in to police. According to a press release, 19-year old Journee Weathers Jr of Beloit surrendered to police on Monday and is in custody on charges stemming from the June 7 homicide.
Weathers is the third person charged in connection with the homicide, along with 18-year old Elontae M Phiffer and 19-year old Damon E Allen, both of Beloit. All three are facing homicide charges, and Phiffer and Allen turned themselves in on Friday.
The victim in this incident has been identified as 25-year old Dre Vian T Allen of Beloit, per approval from next of kin. The criminal complaint in this case states that a dispute over money and payment over a vehicle led to the shooting. Weathers has been identified as the shooter, and Police say there are no other suspects in this case.
