Suspected Shooting Leads To Drug Arrest in Janesville

A Suspected shooting in Janesville Friday led to a drug arrest of two people with police unable to find the person who was shot according to Janesville Police. Police were called to Linn Street, when they arrived they found blood and shell casings with two vehicles seen leaving the area. Police believe the shooting stemmed from a drug deal and there was no immediate danger to the public. Police obtained a search warrant for the house on Linn street, when searching the house they found cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and over 2800 dollars in cash which led to the arrest of the man and woman who live there. Kendra Kufahl and Justin Black were arrested on a charge of child neglect/exposing children to controlled substances and Black was also arrested on charges of possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. The children were placed with a relative by child protective services and it wasn’t clear if Kufahl or Black had any connection with the shooting which is still under investigation.
