Stolen Car Crashes In Janesville, One With Serious Injuries

Over the weekend, police in Rock County responded to a serious accident involving a stolen vehicle. According to a media release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to a crash at W Rockport Road and S Hayner Road in Janesville Township. Two vehicles were discovered overturned at this location. A 22-year-old male from Beloit was in a Yukon Denali stolen from a residence on Hayner Road, when he ran a stop sign and hit a Chevy Cruze driven by a 22-year-old male form Janesville. Both vehicles came to rest at the edge of the road on the north side of the street. The driver of the Cruze had to be removed from the vehicle and was transported with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Denali was arrested on a Felony Warrant and was transported to the Rock County Jail upon release from the hospital. Additional charges are expected.
