Snow Emergencies Declared Ahead of Storm

Snow emergencies have been declared ahead of tonight’s winter storm. The City of Janesville and City of Beloit have both issued snow emergencies. The emergency begins at 10 PM in Janesville and 6 PM in Beloit. According to a press release, the emergency declaration means that all vehicles must be removed from the street for the duration of the weather event and until streets have been cleared from curb to curb. The city of Janesville does not expect a full plow to be completed until Tuesday evening, while Beloit police will ticket vehicles that do not comply. A list of places to park is available in the press release on the City of Janesville’s website or at beloitwi.gov/snow.
