According to a post from the Jefferson WI Police Department, Jefferson Utilities reported a scam to the police that occurred with one of their customers. The victim was approached by a man who went to his home, and claimed he was from “Everlight Solar”, and told the victim about cost effective lighting and solar panels. The scammer asked the victim for personal information, including their account information with Jefferson Utilities. The scammer claimed to be associated with Jefferson Utilities, but he was not.
