According to a press release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday at about 10:45 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a hit and run accident at 10430 N. Highway 14 in Union Township. The reporting person said that his vehicle was struck in a parking lot and the driver of the other vehicle was intoxicated. The suspect had fled from the scene while deputies were en-route. However, he was located walking on N. Highway 14 and was identified as Kendell R. Copus. After further investigation, he was arrested for his 7th offense OWI. Copus was taken to the Rock County Jail.
