Rock County Public Health Monitoring For Particulates
Rock County Public Health is asking residents, particularly those in the City and Town of Beloit, to pay attention to wind direction and wear a mask.
While there hasn't been any concerns of air quality in Beloit so far, those in southern portions of Beloit are being advised to be vigilant and keep an eye on wind direction, especially those with respiratory conditions. The EPA, who is monitoring air quality, has not indicated any concerns outside of the fire scene. The main concern is irritating particulates that could cause problems for those with respiratory issues.
Rock County Public Health is among the agencies conducting air quality testing in Beloit and additional information will be provided if health advisories are necessary.
