One Injured, Two On The Run After Janesville Armed Robbery

Two suspects are being sought in an armed robbery in Janesville. According to a press release from the Janesville Police Department, authorities responded on Saturday to a business at 1002 S Jackson Street just before 8:30 PM. That’s where they say a male and female entered the store. The male suspect displayed a weapon behind the counter to the store clerk, proceeding to pistol whip the store clerk. The suspects left with an unspecified amount of money as well as the cell phone of the store clerk. The injured store clerk was taken to Mercyhealth Janesville where they were treated and released. JPD described the the two suspects as a black male, approximately 30 years old, heavy set with short or bald hair, and a mixed race female, between 20-25 years of age, with orange bangs and two nose piercings. The suspects left the scene in a silver or gray small SUV.
