One Arrested After Gunshot Wound In Janesville
Janesville Police have made an arrest in reference to a gunshot wound that occurred on Friday. According to the Janesville Police Department, around 12:30 PM on Friday, Officers were dispatched to Mercy Hospital where a 16-year old was being treated for a gunshot wound. The victim was one of two individuals visiting a residence on Linn Street, where the victim was handling a handgun that went off. The bullet passed through the victim’s hip, then through a TV and out the window. The police did not receive cooperation and were unable to retrieve the handgun. The 16-year old is being charged with first degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of a dangerous weapon by a minor. They were released from the hospital.
