No injuries were reported when a house caught fire over the weekend in the City of Beloit.
The Beloit Fire Department says that the fire happened around 8:15 PM Sunday in the 600 block of Gaston Avenue. Smoke was showing when firefighters arrived and the fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes. The Red Cross is assisting a family who was displaced by the fire and had safely evacuated. The cause of the fire and the damage costs are not yet known.
Firefighters from Janesville, Beloit Township, Turtle Township and South Beloit also responded.
