According to a press release from the City of Beloit, a new pedestrian signal was installed near the stadium which will help pedestrians cross Shirland Ave., and was installed at no cost to the city. The signal is called a pedestrian hybrid beacon, which is used to warn and control traffic at a mid-block crosswalk without other traffic signals.
