New Information On Animal Hoarding Case

New information on the animal hoarding incident in Jefferson County. According to reports, the property had a search warrant executed, where the animals were later discovered. The Jefferson Police Department says that a man and woman who lived at the rental property are facing charges of mistreatment of animals, improper animal shelter, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Their names will not be provided until the charges are reviewed and made official. Additionally, multiple nuisance violations are being given to the renters, and they were given 7 days to clean up their residence, which was condemned at the time of inspection, and cannot be cleared until a re-inspection occurs.
