The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says that just after 1:30 PM yesterday, while conducting a routine check, a RCSO deputy took a report of a missing man. The man was last seen at Storrs Lake Park in Milton, and was reported as 66-year old Kevin J Doyle. Doyle’s family had been searching for him for almost two hours prior. The family stated that Doyle left with his two labrador retrievers around 9:30 AM to hike at Storrs Lake Park, as he does most days. But, as of 11:30 AM, he had not returned home. He is described as 5’6, 170 lbs with a white moustache and goatee. He was wearing a blue jacket and khaki pants. His vehicle was located at the park. If you have any information, please call 608-757-2244. The RCSO has shared a previous photo of Doyle on their FB page. The search was suspended on Wednesday night and will resume on Thursday.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on the search on Thursday. A media release states that Mr Doyle had not yet been located, and search efforts were ramping up again at 12:30 today. The search crews are accepting volunteers who are willing to get muddy and deal with the difficult terrain. Volunteers will be allowed to park at 257 Sunnyside. If this search does not locate Mr Doyle, another foot search will be conducted later in the day. The RCSO also says that any volunteer with specialized training or equipment should contact Sergeant Shena Kohler at 608-290-6135.
