Milwauke Man Arrested After Driving His Car Into the Fox River

A 27 year old Milwaukee man is under arrest on suspicion of drunk driving after he drove his car into the Fox River. Around 3am on the 20th Officers were sent to the area by the Fox river near Corrina BLVD and Buckley street on a report of a car going into the river. The Water rescue team was called to the scene and an eyewitness told police that the driver and the passenger were able to get out of the car and walk to shore without being seriously injured. The partially submerged car was towed out of the water and the driver was arrested on suspicion of his first drunk driving offense.
