Milton School Board Approves Controversial Return To In-Person Learning
The Milton School Board has approved by a 5-2 margin the return to in-person learning on a full-time basis. The Milton Courier reports that students will return to the classroom 5 days a week beginning April 5, after the district’s spring break. There is still a virtual learning option that will be available to those not comfortable with returning. Some students have expressed disappointment in the decision, saying there is not enough room for students to safely distance. Several students attended the meeting to ask the school board not to move forward with the decision. No survey was conducted to gauge interest. The decision to go full-time in-person means that hybrid learning will cease at the time of in-person resumption.
