Milton Man Arrested For Habitual Janesville Burglaries, Car Theft
A Milton man has been arrested by Janesville Police for a stolen vehicle as well as for burglary. JPD says on May 12 a white Mitsubishi Lancer was stolen in the area of 300 W Milwaukee Street. The vehicle was spotted several times over the next several days around Janesville. The vehicle was located around 3:50 PM on May 16 after a grid search while the driver was in the process of committing a theft. The driver, identified as 46-year old Patrick Ryan of Milton, was taken into custody without incident. It was determined that Ryan had committed several burglaries and thefts since taking the car on May 12. Some of that property has been returned to its owners, but the rest is being held due to issues finding owners. That property will be held until it is claimed. Ryan faces numerous charges of OWI, Operate a motor vehicle without owner’s consent and several property crimes that included Burglary, Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. He is also suspected of committing other currently undetermined burglaries.
