Men Charged In Separate Delavan Break-Ins Have Court Dates
A Lake Geneva man has a court date scheduled after allegedly breaking into a Delavan home. The Delavan Enterprise reports that 20-year old Alan J Hernandez, who was charged back on March 5 for a February break-in, will make his initial court appearance on March 29. He is charged with burglary of a building, and criminal damage to property. Another man was in the residence when police arrived, but said Hernandez was the one who broke in. A man, and woman allegedly went with Hernandez to the home to claim belongings they said they had left there the night before. When no one answered the door, the other man, identified as 19-year old Domingo Rodriguez, attempted to break down a door, and Hernandez forced his way in.
Meanwhile, A hearing is scheduled for March 29 for a Beloit man accused of stealing a safe from a Delavan apartment. According to the Delavan Enterprise, 24-year old Alix Baxton was charged back in February for the break in, and is charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, two counts of theft, criminal damage to property, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. The charges and upcoming court date stem from the incident that occurred on February 19, when a woman awoke to find Baxton in her home, and stole a safe. Baxton also reportedly got into a fight with other individuals. Police responded, and located Baxton. They located pills that belonged to the woman, as well as pepper spray. He later admitted to using a tire iron to enter the residence.
