In the Weekly Roundup from the City of Watertown WI Government, Mayor Emily McFarland noted that there has been some confusion in the way the city reports COVID-19 deaths on their Facebook posts. McFarland clarified that posts regarding COVID deaths usually go up on either Monday or Friday, and that the number given is the amount of deaths since the last posting, not for the day. Additionally, Watertown does not report a COVID related death until there is confirmation from the medical examiner's office.
