Man Arrested After Assaulting Woman, Leading Police On Multi-County Journey
A man was arrested for an assault that took place in Elkhorn. According to a press release, a woman called 911 around 1:40 PM on March 18 that a man who she identified as Michael Budish of Milwaukee, was banging on her door. As law enforcement were responding, Budish allegedly broke in and assaulted the woman, then fleeing the scene before police arrived. About 15 minutes later, his vehicle was located northbound on I-43 near Highway 20 in East Troy. The officers followed Budish into Waukesha County and eventually pulled over and took him into custody without incident. The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Muskego, Big Bend and New Berlin police departments, and the WSP assisted. Budish is charged with Felony Intimidation of a Victim, Attempt Strangulation/Suffocation, False Imprisonment, Criminal Damage to Property, and Disorderly Conduct.
