Longtime Whitewater Resident To Turn 100 Next Week

A longtime physician in Whitewater is preparing to celebrate a major milestone. In an article written for the Whitewater Banner by a former employee of the physician, it is written that Dr. Lawrence F. Nelson will turn 100-years old on Tuesday. Nelson spent more than 40 years serving the Whitewater community as a General physician and surgeon. Dr. Nelson opened his practice in Whitewater in a building that is now a restaurant, before moving to a medical building at the intersection of Main and Fremont. Dr. Nelson saw patients on Friday and Saturday night’s. On June 30, 1991, Dr. Nelson retired from his practice. Dr. Nelson still resides in the Whitewater area.
