Longtime City of Janesville Employee Retiring
The Janesville Parks and Rec department is honoring a worker who is retiring after 35 years. Parks and Rec and Public Works Division Operator 2 David Wells is retiring from his longtime role. The lifelong Janesville resident is a graduate of Parker High, and joined the city in May 1985 as a laborer, and has served multiple roles in the Parks Division. He has also spent time in winter blacktopping for the Street Department and working with the Water Department. He has spent countless hours at Riverside Park since he was assigned there in 1989, where he oversaw countless improvements to the park.
