Local Municipalities to Petition Joining the Edgerton Fire Protection District

On Monday Afternoon, a press conference was held to discuss the towns of Milton, Harmony, Johnstown, and Lima, and the City of Milton to join the Edgerton Fire Protection District. The municipalities will present a petition to join the district on January 12. The municipalities involved in the petition have noted that combining resources would create a sustainable and cost effective model that would be helpful in the long term. The petition includes the construction of two new fire stations to help serve the region; One on the east side of Milton, and one on the west side.
