At this week’s Whitewater Common Council meeting, Parks and Recreation director Eric Boettcher gave an update regarding the lakes drawdown project. Earlier this month, crews began working on shoreline restoration and placed core logs where the shoreline is anticipated to be at Tripp Lake and Clay Street Nature Park. There is a rock barrier at Cravath, preventing the need for core logs. Refilling of the lakes began on June 13, with Cravath lake taking priority over Tripp. The lakes are expected to be refilled in about one month. Once the lakes are filled, there will be a post-fill dredge assessment. To watch the full council meeting, visit https://vimeo.com/723048531.
