Lake Mills Police Officer Retiring

The City of Lake Mills Police Department has announced the retirement of a longtime officer. Officer Doug Messmann will retire from duty with LMPD on March 4. He has been with Lake Mills PD since October of 2000. He previously spent time with the Town of Lake Mills Police Department. He started with the city as an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course Instructor, and still serves in that role. Messmann worked his way up the ladder, serving as a sergeant for 7 years. A get together will take place on march 4 from 1PM-3PM at city hall. COVID safe practices are asked of those in attendance.
