Lake Mills Police Investigating Vehicle Break Ins

Numerous vehicles were rummaged through Thursday night in Lake Mills. The Lake Mills Police Department says that the incidents happened in the area of Reed and Pope Streets. A citizen got concerned when a car alarm went off and called police. Police saw a white Cadillac Escalade leaving the area and led Jefferson County deputies on a pursuit that was later discontinued. Police soon learned the vehicle was stolen from Beloit. LMPD says this is the third incident in the last few weeks.

Residents are reminded to lock doors, leave valuables out of sight and call police if you say something.
