wsld77

At last night's Lake Geneva City Council Meeting, the board discussed the first reading of a zoning ordinance and an ordinance discussing election inspectors. Many other small ordinances were approved. The council debated the city's insurance renewal. A new policy reached recommends that the policy be reduced by $4000-5000. The new insurance would be for cybersecurity. The new policy was approved. The council then approved the scheduled audit, which is not the same as a forensic audit. The board next approved the funds for phase I of the Riviera. There were questions about how this is an item when the work is already completed. Because of the short timeframe, the project was split into two phases but under contract. The city saved about $260,000 in Phase I. Council members were briefed weekly during the last six weeks of the project. Phase I's contract was $2.171 million but there were four change orders in Phase II. A motion to amend and continue was proposed and passed. The Phase II portion was also voted on to be continued and was passed.
