Jefferson High Principal Announces Plans To Retire
The longtime principal at Jefferson High School has announced his retirement. The Daily Jefferson County Union reports that earlier this week, Dinkel submitted his retirement for the end of the year. Dinkel’s wife Cathi, an eight grade language arts teacher at Jefferson Middle, is also set to retire. The Dinkel’s have combined for 55 years in public education, and Steve Dinkel has served as Jefferson High’s principal since 2013. Steve Dinkel also previously served as an assistant coach at UW-Whitewater, and was named the school’s offensive coordinator in 2009, before leaving in 2012 to return to Jefferson High, where he started in 1988.
