Jefferson Fire and EMS Respond to Citizens who Fell Through Ice

In a post from the Jefferson Fire and EMS, they are warning residents about dangerous ice conditions. They reported that yesterday shortly after 5 p.m. a woman walking her dog fell through the ice under the walk bridge at Rock River. Three bystanders attempted to help her by using a canoe that was at the shoreline, but then two other men fell through the ice as well. Jefferson Police and EMS responded very quickly and were able to get everyone out of the water and off the ice, all within 12 minutes.
