Janesville Woman Arrested for 5th OWI

Janesville Police have made an arrest for a 5th Offense OWI. In a media release, the department says that 47-year old Shawn M Wethal of Janesville was arrested for the offense around 3:30 AM this morning. That’s when officers were called to a report of two individuals unconscious in a vehicle. The driver was displaying signs of impairment, and after taking a field sobriety test, attempted to flee on foot. The driver resisted officers. Officers determined that this was Wethal’s 5th OWI offense and was at a restriction for a 0.02 BAC A blood test was performed, but those results have not been made available. Wethal was transported to the Rock Jail pending her initial appearance in court.
