The City of Janesville will hold a meeting to discuss a proposal to increase the local vehicle registration fee, also known as the Wheel Tax. This will take place on September 27 during the regular city council meeting. A hearing was held last week to discuss the hearing, and the scheduled time for the hearing is 6 PM. The proposed increase would be from $20 to $40 as previously reported. The City plans to increase revenue and decrease borrowing to make this happening.
