The School District of Janesville has released the results of its ACT testing as well as the WI Forward Exam.
The Forward Exam is given to all students in grades 3-8 as well as grade 10, while 11th grade students take the ACT. Students with significant cognitive disabilities took an alternative exam.
Grades 3-5 were at or above the state average in ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies, while 6-8 students were above the state average in ELA and math and Grade 10 students in Social Studies.
The 11th grade ACT results were slightly below the average statewide in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Writing proficiency, according to the release. There was a 94% test participation rate, up from 88%.
